Intranet, Extranet, Business Networking...

Despite the difference in these concepts (see for example http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intranet) all have three essential characteristics:
1. Use standard Internet tools
2. Restrict user access to their content
3. Designed for professional activities.

The first paragraph sets difference  from local networks.
The second - from the Internet with its publicity and anonymity.
The third - from social networks, forums, interest clubs, etc.

Many of the actual projects are combined.
For example, this website (www.crealtico.com), which you are currently viewing, consists of several parts:
- The public part (Internet - general description, mission, contacts ...)
- Part of our customers (Extranet - Bank of user documents, FAQ ...)
- Working part (Intranet - the bank's internal documents, its own forum for employees, information on projects executed by ...).

For the creating of Business Networking systems needs 3 things:
1. Organizational component (who is responsible for what, that someone is allowed, what opreratsii allowed ...)
2. Information component (files, database records, a collection of documents ...)
3. Technical component (servers, databases, information channels ...)

From the properties we use ready-made solutions should highlight three:
- Categories of information
- Functional completeness
- System security and saving
